Color Thesaurus from HP
Tired of those plain color terms? Want to sound exotic, mysterious (and odd)? Well, check out this fun little tool from HP, Color Thesaurus.
So my blog’s color scheme is: canary, tangerine, blue bright and eggshell.

How color-smart are you? Take this hue discrimination test and find out.
This test by X-Rite scores you based on how well you can arrange 100 hues in the correct order. You can also compare your score to others in your demographic group in the end.
Lower the score the better. I got a 3! on an uncalibrated digital monitor. Phew, it’d be embarrasing if I got a high (bad) score since this is what I do for a living. Boy, those green hues are tricky. Just out of curiosity, I’d love to know on which color(s) do most people falter.

Be prepared to STARE at the monitor when taking the test. I couldn’t bear to try a second time. My eyes hurt.
Nice marketing tactic by X-Rite who sells color checking and calibration products. I’ll definitely remember the company’s name now.
(Shout out to The Online Photographer where I saw this test.)
